Adventures at Mt. Rose
In: Trail Notes
I have skied my heart out for the past three days at Mt. Rose Ski Resort located in Nevada. I am super thrilled to be back on my skis this year. Due to COVID-19, I have skipped the entire season last year skiing or teaching to prevent and reduce the risk of catching COVID-19. This year, I am feeling grateful to be back on my skis and to be teaching again. When looking at the trail map, Mt. Rose can come off as intimidating at first, as the resort shows that 50 percent of the mountain is advanced and expert terrain. However, 200 acres of that are the famed black and double black diamond Chutes and the rest of the mountain is perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers. I will be teaching beginners on weekends only.
This past week, we have received more than 4 feet of snow here in Lake Tahoe. Super excited for snow! To be back on the mountain, feels home!
